Padma and Amarnath C. are a hard-working married couple with student-age children. Rice traders for 14 years, in 2023 they also opened a small general store with a loan from Vreedhi to buy stock. The shop is in a busy area where a lot of construction is occurring. Many construction workers buy from them on credit during the week and settle their bills at the weekend.
